Who Am I

I am a computational astronomer specializing in high performance computing and Bayesian statistics. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics working Michael Johnson. Previously I was a Ph.D. student at the University of Waterloo and Perimeter Institute working with Avery Broderick.

My research focuses on developing new algorithms and software for imaging black holes and other astronomical objects using very long baseline interferometry (VLBI). I am also interested in developing new algorithms for Bayesian inference and machine learning to improve data analysis for a variety of astronomical projects and inverse problems. I am also strong proponent of open source software and I am the co-lead of the EHTJulia organization.
